Please ! IMO she is not one of the top post players out there….Sure she has great numbers for Washington…But the size is not there, to go up against international competition ! The US has enough offense…They need defensive minded players also…That’s Not Crystal….
Editor’s note: First off, rebounding *is* a part of defense, and she’s one of the league’s top rebounders. Second, even if you don’t think she would make the 12-player team, it is completely absurd to think that she shouldn’t be one of 20-something people who will be part of the training process. USA Basketball doesn’t have a leg to stand on in this argument … at the very least, she should have been involved in the training leading up to the World Championship. The suggestion that two WNBA bench players who are *drastically* below Langhorne in production at this point as pros deserve to participate with the national team because they are 2 inches taller is utterly ridiculous.
